Kind of odd, but a buddy of mine had TWO account keys in his GW box when he bought it, and gave one to his friend. Anyone hear of this?

I bought HL2 shortly after it was released, since GW was released I might have played it and CS Source, maybe 5 times. It's another one of those non-transferable type things due to steam. I'll probably go back to it at some point and play a bit, but I'm not upset that I can't sell it. For the amount of entertainment value it and GW have given me for my $100, I simply can't beat it. $100 dollars = 1 good night of drinking or 6+ months of CS and GW, I'll take the 6+ months thank you. |

also, where I am in the US, Pennsylvania to be exact, the game retails for ~45. And you can buy an account from http://www.PlayNC.com <--Add an account to a "master account" from starting one there. It works well if you are limited in where you can purchase the game, also if you want it, download the client from http://www.Guildwars.com and DL the client.
Hope this helped. --The Shim |

Just wait until next year when the Expansion Comes out, it will probably come with additional character slots... (i hope anyway!)
If not, alot of us will be out there buying new versions of the game so we can play the new professions! |

I keep seeing strange and conflicting numbers and currencies that I don't know the exchange rate to, so here's what I've seen (in US dollars):
Target: $39.99 Wal Mart: $39.82 Electronics Boutique: $39.99 Best Buy: $49.99 Those are prices for both in-store (as of last night 11/17/2005) as well as online. If you download the client and purchase an access key from PlayNC (http://support.guildwars.com/cgi-bin...p?p_faqid=3159 also look here if interested http://www.plaync.com/store/gw_purchase.html) it costs $49.99 I was looking for a cheaper method (as well as legal... nothing off eBay and nothing from the Used Bins) for a friend of mine, but going to EB or Walmart or Target seems to be the best (and easiest) choice. |

I've seen it as low as $29.95 (Best Buy or CompUSA), but not lately. The holidays are coming up and the retailers are running scared with the U.S. economy the way it is. Keep your eyes open.

I think there's a flaw in the EULA rules because buying a 2nd hand game whereever you do is completely legit. There's nothing wrong with buying a 2nd hand game. The flaw is that it should be possible to de-activate the existing account and start a new one.

I *just* bought myself a second copy of the game & my boyfriend his own copy at EBGames. They marked GW down to $40 in the store like 2 days ago.
I think buying just the code was actually more expensive than getting the whole box from EB...I was actually complaining to someone about the code being more expensive than the entire thing, when they don't have materials or supplies to worry about. And I'm scared to death to buy an account/code off ebay because if you get screwed over (which you have a pretty good chance of) ANet isn't going to help you, you don't know the previous acct history (bannings, etc.), and if they find out they could easily just ban the whole account. |

Probably more important than Grammer and Spelling is that you consider the aim of your message before you begin to construct it. In this case you should have been answering a question. Do you think you have achieved this? apologies, msihkin |
